Jamie Ann Cross, Editorial Manager, joined Math Solutions (founded by Marilyn Burns) in 2008 with more than ten years of experience in educational publishing. She is the editor and co-producer of Math Solutions 2010 Golden Lamp winner, Supporting English Language Learners in Math Class, A Multimedia Professional Learning Resource and the 2011 Golden Lamp finalist, Number Talks: Helping Children Build Mental Math and Computation Strategies, A Multimedia Professional Learning Resource. In addition to these titles, the resources under Jamie’s management include seven recipients and/or finalists of AEP’s Distinguished Achievement Awards—from Faster Isn’t Smarter: Messages About Math, Teaching, and Learning in the 21st Century to Classroom Discussions: Using Math Talk to Help Students Learn.
Jamie holds a master’s degree in teaching from SIT Graduate Institute and a bachelor’s degree in English from Stanford University. Jamie ensures content quality standards and supports Math Solutions’ authors and developmental editors through all phases of acquisition and production; per one author’s acknowledgments, “Jamie has moved me from being a writer to becoming an author.”
