Manhattan-based David Rust has been general manager or head of publishing for units of Harcourt, Pearson, Scholastic and School Specialty. David is a leader-strategist with a record of creating, re-imagining and launching media businesses, especially those serving struggling learners.
With a BA in English from Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, David combines his formal business background with his love of media to help companies orient and organize themselves more effectively to serve PreK-12 schools and other education consumers. His focus on organizational dynamics brought him to recognize the value of a diverse, inclusive workplace and led him to volunteer for leadership of AEP's ILRTD Initiative.
