- CIC 2014
Content in Context (CIC) is the premier conference for the preK-12 learning resource industry. While the meeting covers a wide range of relevant topics including education technology, policy at the state and federal levels, and market trends, it has consistently promoted the creation of quality content as the key to successful teaching and learning.
For fifteen years since becoming an independent association in 1995, the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) has held its major annual meeting, known as the Summit, for publishers, content developers, platform architects, and service providers across the industry. In 2011, it adopted the name ‘Content in Context’ to highlight its focus on quality educational content regardless of the medium. In 2012, the School Division of the Association of American Publishers (AAP), joined AEP as co-organizer of the conference, and in 2013, the two associations merged to become the AAP PreK-12 Learning Group. The 2014 CIC conference will mark the first annual meeting organized by this new division. Read more about the backgrounds of the two organizations. (Links to the history page).
What will the CIC cover?
CIC aims to present a range of informative and practical sessions that address all issues relating to the development and distribution of high-quality learning resources. Stay tuned for details! The 2014 website and program will be available in the fall of 2013.
The 2014 CIC is scheduled for June 2-4 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC. Mark your calendars.
The Content in Context Conference is for anyone involved in the creation, sales, distribution, or delivery of educational content or the service providers that support this community.
