3:45 - 5:00 pm
The digital revolution is changing the way students consume content -- and challenging pubishers to deliver compelling, effective materials for next-generation learners.
This session's group of practitioners, researchers, and thinkers will shed light on the new new-media models: What have we discovered about new patterns of learning? Which publishing strategies work best? How can we incorporate real-time information into otherwise static sets of data? What do we think books and lessons will look like in 2020?
The panel members will reflect on the transformation of learner interaction and discuss how educational publishers are leveraging the opportunity to effectively fuse instruction, assessment and community.
Frank Catalano, Professional Examination Service, veteran analyst of digital education and consumer technologies, author, former SVP, Pearson
John Conner, Co-Founder of Breaking the Barrier, on reinventing language learning
Allison Druin, Chief Futurist at the University of Maryland, Division of Research
