Talent Development Scholarship at CIC

The Talent Development Scholarship Program is intended to help professionals new to the educational resource community learn, grow, and network at one of the industry's most important events. Winners receive a full pass to the Content in Context (CIC) Conference, presented by the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP), as well as guided networking provided by veteran AEP members.

Details on applying for the 2014 Talent Development Scholarship will be available in August.


Who is Eligible?

Eligible candidates include individuals who have entered the educational resource industry within the past two years. They must be first-time CIC attendees who wouldn't or couldn't normally attend the conference.

How Do I Apply?
Four scholarships will be awarded based on candidates' commitment to personal growth within the education industry as demonstrated in their letter of application. All letters should include:

  1. Description of current role, career goals, and what they hope to get out of CIC
  2. Description of their company and how it supports career growth
  3. Description of how the candidate will report back to the company from CIC

Candidates' companies must demonstrate support of learning and career development by providing travel expenses for their associate.

The application period for the 2013 Scholarship has cloed.

Additional Requirements
Winners will be asked to write three blog posts to appear on Educational Publishing, the AEP blog: one prior to, one during, and one after the conference. They also agree to blog six months out on the lasting impact of CIC. Candidates may also publish these posts on their own company and/or personal blogs.
